Markets Moving Closer

Yesterday we saw the market move a bit closer to each other. Sellers seem to acknowledge that sales at higher prices will be hard, while at the same time, buyers are acknowledging the lower stock situation and accept that (for the short term) they need to pay slightly higher prices than they were targeting. Therefore we think we should be able to connect buyers and sellers anytime now for most commodities.
Looking at the market for liquids it seems raw milk prices are trading roughly between 36 and 38ct and smc and cream are trading at prices of € 2100 and € 6100. We do hear wide ranges for these liquids, but in general, we think these prices reflect the market. The relatively cheaper cream causes a bit more offers on the butter market, although we haven't seen any aggressive sellers.
With a few more sellers in the market, it seems the upward potential for all commodities we broker is very small and with milk volumes expected to increase in the next months, we see that sellers are a bit more willing to offer further out. We do see that the fear of an unexpected turnaround keeps sellers from making aggressive offers.
