Daily Dairy Update: 8th of November

1 min read

Yesterday was a very quiet day for us. The markets are a bit stuck as buyers are expecting the market to move lower, but buyers see reasons for the market to bounce back up. Leaving us with bids and offers that are far apart from each other. With the return of a bit of demand, sellers expect prices to find a floor, and maybe even see some bounces. But buyers keep pointing to higher milk intake, good milk solids and lower worldwide demand.

A lot of partners are on their way to the Gulfood in Dubai hoping to find an answer on how demand in the middle east, Africa and Asia is holding up. But if they will find a very different answer as three weeks ago on the SIAL in Pairs we wonder. It does seem that a few big buyers are in the market causing a bit of upward pressure. But these buyers were expected, and it seems that a lot of this demand has been already priced in. If tomorrow the tender ends we might see sellers come back to the market in Europe to find an outlet here again.
