Daily Dairy Update: 15th of March
Yesterday the markets showed a similar picture as the days before although we feel the tendency on butter and SMP is a bit down, and cheese is a bit more firm. The biggest difference between the two is that on butter and smp we hear more offers from producers, but for cheese, producers are still claiming to be sold out and not under pressure to sell.
Looking at the market for liquids we see a similar steady picture. At the end of last week prices moved up a bit and these higher prices are the opening prices for this week. Cream is trading in a range between € 5000,- and € 5100 although we also heard some deals done below € 5000,-/ SMC prices moved up slightly toward € 1600,- fca and raw milk prices still trade below € 0.30 with the lowest price we heard at € 0.26.
